Activity 1-Zak’s Holiday
Draw ss attention to the pictures
Get ss to predict what the pictures are about by asking the following questions – What do you see in the  pictures ?
What do you think this video is about ?
Tr plays  the  Audio –Video DVD. Get SS to watch the video.
This video must be played for students to learn the sentence pattern used for talking about a holiday they have experienced. Replay the video as often as required.

Activity 2 –Pause and  Practice
Tr plays the Audio-Video DVD and pause in the following sentence patterns.
·         I just came back from a holiday with ……………
·         WE went to …………………
·         We stayed in ………………
·         We took ………………………
·         We watched ………………
·         I felt ……………………………
2.At every pause, teacher asks ss questions to help them be aware of the sentence patterns used for talking about holidays.
3.Suggested questions :-
·         Where did you go for a holiday ?
·         Where did you stay?
·         Who did you do there ?
·         How did you feel ?
4.Ensure that all ss participate actively. Replay and pause if necessary.

The above lessons  were conducted in the Computer  Lab
SS were  able to listen to the sentence patterns and  practised  saying them.
They  liked the lesson .

Activity 1- Let’s plan a holiday.
Draw ss attention to the picture.
Ask them questions .
What do you see in the  picture ?
What do you think they are talking about ?
Tell ss that they are going to plan a holiday for their class.
Get ss to work in  a group of 5 to plan  their holiday.
Tr gives  the following guidelines.
a.       Each group will  plan a holiday trip.
b.      Include the following in your holiday plan.
Ø  Accommodation
Ø  Transportation
Ø  Costs
Ø  Activities
Ø  Clothing and footwear
This activity is to encourage teamwork .

Activity 2 –Our class holiday
Invite ss. to share their holiday plans
Ensure all groups get the opportunity to present their plans
Get  ss. to vote the best holiday destinations based on the presentation
 This activity is to build students ‘s confidence in using the language learned In this topic  in a  fun way.
This activity requires  more time for ss to plan and then present.
