Activity 1- My plan for canteen day *   (Continue from last week )
1. SS  go to their own group
2.Get ss to  prepare some Malaysian currency in the following denominations :-
Coins-   ten cent- 5 pieces, twenty cents – 5 pieces , fifty cents – 5 pieces
Ringgit – RM 1.00 (5 pieces ) , RM 2.00 ( 5 pieces), RM 10.00 (5 pieces)

Activity 2- Let’s organise
1.Get each group to organise the stall, food items for sale, labels for the food items and price tags
2.Each group will use the paper money  that they have prepared  earlier
3.Group members decide who will be the sales assistants and customers
4. This activity should take about 15 minutes. It allows ss to be creative in setting up their stalls.

Activity  1-Let’s  practise
*Tr . gets ss to practise the dialogue below :--

A customer walks to the stall and looks at the menu .Then  he decides on what he would like to have. 

Customer :            I would like to order a plate of fried rice please ?
Sales Assistant :   I beg your pardon ? Could you repeat that please ?
Customer :             Yes, certainly. I would like to have a plate of fried rice please. How  
                                  much is it ?
Sales assistants :   It,s  RM  3.50. Could I get you anything else ?                                                             
                                A glass of carrot juice ?  A bowl of iced ‘kacang ‘ ?
 Customer :          Yes , a glass of carrot juice ,please. How much is  it ?
Sales assistant : It’s RM 3.00.
Customer :           How  much are they altogether ?
Sales assistant  : They are RM 6.50 .  
                             
Customer        :  Here’s   the money. (Customer hands the money to the sales
                            assistant)
Sales Assistant : ( He takes the money)
                              Please take a seat. Your order will be ready in a few minutes.
Customer          : Alright.


Activity 2: Canteen Day
1.The sales assistants in each group will be standing by their stalls ready to sell their items  .
2.The customers from all groups will move around the stalls and are free to buy the food that are on sale
3.Teacher reminds ss that they need to use  the sentence patterns learned  during this activity
4.Tr. monitors the activity and scores the group that uses the sentence patterns learned during the selling and buying activity.

* This activity is to build   students’  confidence in using the language learned in this topic in a fun  and engaging manner.
